Street Companions Collective was founded on a simple but deeply held belief that no one should have to choose between essential support and the animal they love.
For many individuals experiencing homelessness or poverty, pets are not “just animals.” They are family. They are protectors, companions, sources of emotional grounding, and sometimes the only consistent relationship in an otherwise unstable world. These bonds are powerful, life-sustaining, and deserving of respect.
Yet too often, people are forced to separate from their pets in order to access shelter, services, or support. Street Companions Collective exists to challenge that reality.
